However, cultural heritage involves: architecture such as the different architectural styles in Valletta including St. John's Cathedral where one can also admire our artistic heritage with masterpieces of Mattia Preti and Caravaggio; history such as the fortifications around Valletta, Mdina and the Three Cities; archaeology with an important number of prehistoric temples such as Ggantija; ethnography which includes the life of the people and their traditions including Ghana for instance; geology as we gaze at Filfla or the Fungus rock; cultural landscape, and intangible cultural heritage comprising Maltese preserves such as the Gbejna, combini, village festa, tberfil decorations, filigree market and glass blowing.
One of our first activities to instigate appreciation of our cultural heritage among students was to encourage them to create posters that promote various features that Malta has to offer. The message definitely lies within the slogans that the students came up with that define Malta as 'The Pearl of the Mediterranean' or 'Sun, Sea and History'.
In order to see more, you are invited to visit the Comenius Exhibition on the different levels of Senior School on the 6th and 7th December.
