A walk in the past to discover the present!

Fort St. Lucian, found along the road from Marsaxlokk to Birzebbuga, was built by Grand Master De Wignacourt to defend the South of Malta from a possible return of the Turks. However as one visits the Fort today, one learns that it is currently being used as the National Aquaculture Centre.

Amongst the highlights of the enriching one hour visit there are endemic marine species, some even risking extinction, as well as the Loggerheard turtles which are being cared for by Nature Trust. Definitely worth a visit!!
