In Nessebar

At the end of May this year, the students from Secondary school "Hristo Botev" in Nikopol visited the town of Nessebar, a city in the list of the World Cultural Heritage. The ancient city with a rich history is situated on a romantic rocky peninsula in the Black sea, connected to the mainland by a narrow isthmus . The peninsula is 850 metres long and 300 metres wide. There are a number of valuable monuments preserved from all periods of its millennial existence: old city walls from the Roman period and the Middle Ages, Byzantine and Old churches, old houses from the XVIII and XIX centuries.
